Velvet....it's one of those fabrics that conjures up an image of luxury and warmth, and is something many are uncomfortable with.  I am a fan of velvet, whether it be a velvet jacket (which I actually wore just yesterday in ruby red!), or a pair of tailored pants with a silk blouse, or a dress in a rich sumptuous color like purple!  It can be perfect for a special occasion, and some of the warm colors it comes in are perfect for those cold winter nights.  Don't be afraid to try velvet, it can look great when put together the right way.  So take a look at some of these outfits and see if it's something you want to try!
