This will be my final post before I leave for my travels on Monday.  I have an awful lot to do before I leave and won't have the time to post any further posts unfortunately before I depart.  I haven't even started packing yet, and I am overwhelmed just thinking about it, but I have promised myself that tomorrow night I shall definitely start this much-delayed task!.  Having to think about what to take to three different countries and climates is more than I can deal with which is why I've put it off for so long!

Anyhow, today is about the last leg of my journey in Europe which will of course be my home town of London!  It will be a brief stop en route back to Pittsburgh and I won't have the time to do much, but still I always love my time there and try to cram in as much as possible.

Again, it's another fashion capital and I always love browsing the stores whenever I'm there to see what the latest trends are and how they compare to what's happening in the fashion world over here in the States.  I do love the eccentricity of the Brits style and the ecclectic looks they always manage to put together.  While some may think they're a little over-the-top and wacky, I like what it says about the fashion industry in this great city, and I have always been a huge fan of Brit designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen.

So please enjoy my peek at what was hot on the most recent London fashion runways, and I will be writing much more on my travels and posting lots of pics upon my return.  In the meantime, take care and see you soon!

Italian Runway looks 2012...

Today I will continue my journey of fashion trends to Italy.  Not only a beautiful country but another fashion capital of the world.  The Italians are another group of people who never fail to look sharp.  Wherever you go in Italy, you will see beautifully dressed men and women walking about their daily lives just looking good!  I couldn't help but notice the last time I was there (much to my husband's chagrin!) how amazing the men looked in their perfectly cut and fitting suits, and the women equally chic in their fashionable and ecclectic outfits. Again, they manage to make it look so effortless!  I guess you just have it or you don't, and the Italians definitely do!

So in honor of my trip to Italy, here are some looks from the Italian runways....

Paris Fashion Week 2012...

Some of you already know that I am heading to Europe next week, and yes I am very excited. Even though I have lived in the States for just over 14 years now, my heart truly belongs to Europe, and I always feel a sense of 'coming home' every time I go there.  I have a great life here in the States, indeed my husband is American, and I've been fortunate enough to make some wonderful friends here, but still it is not home.

My trip will involve heading to three amazing destinations in Europe.  Paris, Italy and a brief stop in London.  We will be spending a few day's in Paris en route to Sorrento, Italy for my nephew's wedding to his beautiful Italian bride.  The church ceremony will be held in the town of Positano (think of the movie Under The Tuscan Sun with Diane Lane), and my entire family will be travelling from all parts of the globe to meet in Sorrento to attend this joyous event.  It will be wonderful not only to be in one of my favorite places in the world but to also have all family members in attendance, including my wonderful parents, siblings, nieces and nephews.

I will be away for nearly a month and while I'm away I will not be able to write my daily blog posts, but I will be writing about my adventures upon my return and posting pictures of the wedding (including me in my outfit and fabulous fascinator!).

But I digress.....in honor of my trip to Europe, this week I thought it would be fitting to talk about the fashions in the countries I am going to.  So as such I will begin with the fashions in one of the world's most relevant fashion capitals....Paris!

The Parisians are known for their style, chic and elegance, and I never fail to be in awe every time I go there at how well-turned out the Parisians are.  Just walking down the street you will not see a badly dressed Parisian, either female or male.  They look effortlessly chic, and I love sitting in a cafe sipping a cafe au lait just people-watching.  It is one of my favorite things to do while I am there.

So with that said, here are some of the trends that were recently seen at Paris Fashion Week....enjoy!
