Grammy Awards Fashion Review!

Last night saw the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, and though I did not watch the actual show, I did check in to see what the singers, musicians and artists would be wearing on the red carpet.  This year they had a strict dress code that they had to adhere to (much to my relief!), so some celebs were dressed somewhat more conservatively than they would usually be, while others attempted to push the boundaries of the new dress code as much as possible!

Either way, here is my review of fashions at last night's Grammy Awards....

One of my favorites of the night has to be Rihanna wearing a glorious red custom Alaia dress.  She surprised me with this elegant, feminine look, and she cleverly tricked us with the sheerness of the dress adding some sex appeal! I also liked that her hair was also left long and wavy in sync with this lovely look.

Faith Hill looked great in a J. Mendel black dress with sheer panels.  She looked chic and age appropriate, and I liked her hair and makeup too.

Jennifer Lopez had an 'Angelina Jolie' moment with her black Anthony Vaccarello dress that revealed her leg with a thigh high slit!  Personally I wasn't a huge fan of this look.  She is still very sexy in her 40s, but J-Lo needs to tone it down a bit and not feel the need to shock every time she attends the Grammy's!

I may not always be a fan of Taylor Swift, but I think she pulled it off last night with her white, Grecian style J. Mendel dress.  The only thing I would have changed would have been her hair.  The braid is very typical for her, but so yesterday!

I was so pleased to see Adele wear something other than black!  I loved that she stepped outside of her usual comfort zone and went with this floral, knee length dress.  I think she looked young and fresh and delightful.

Carrie Underwood looked ladylike in her black Roberto Cavalli dress.  Very nice but also very dull!

I loved Alexa Chung in her Valentino dress.  Young and fresh and flirty looking, this was a lovely modern look.

I did not like Katy Perry in her mint green ensemble.  The keyhole cut out at the front of her dress just looked odd and all you could focus on were her boobs!  Sorry Katy but this was a big no!

And one of my worse dressed of the night goes to Florence Welch!  She was a hot green mess!  She should fire her stylist for putting her in this shiny green nightmare!
