Oscar Review 2014 day two...

I would like to continue my review of Oscar outfits today as there were a lot more looks I want to comment on.  As I've already mentioned in yesterday's post, metallics and blush tones dominated the red carpet, as well as embroidery & embellishments which also had a strong showing.

Here's a look at some more looks from Sunday's star-studded event.

Kelly Osbourne looked great in Badgley Mischka's Spring 2014 white gown, which had a unique lace capelet detail.

Kristen Chenoweth looked good in this gold Roberto Cavalli gown.  I liked the shape of the neckline.

Viola Davis favored this emerald green Escada Fall 2014 duchess satin gown with asymmetrical strapless bodice.  With her hair styled in a soft wave she looked very 'classic Hollywood'.

Julie Delpy picked a retro-inspired Jenny Packham Fall 2014 embellished gown.  The gentle draping of this gown was beautiful and flattering on a more mature woman like Julie.

Kristen Bell wore a strapless Roberto Cavalli beaded gown on the red carpet.  While I don't have a problem with the dress, the color was not right for her pale skin tone.

Chrissy Teigen, wife of John Legend and Sports Illustrated model chose this colorful floral Monique Lhullier Fall 2014 gown.  My take on this is that it is pretty but not appropriate for the Oscars.

Anna Kendrick looked cool and edgy in this J. Mendel Fall 2014 asymmetrical black gown featuring strategic floral accents.

Lady Gaga toned it down (for her!) in this Atelier Versace sparkling strapless gown.  The chiffon scarf was a nice addition. I also liked how this dress showed off Gaga's hourglass shape.

The lovely Penelope Cruz glowed in this Giambatista Valli Couture draped gown in a delightful shade of pink accented by a black bow waistband.

The Calvin Klein Collection cap sleeve gown Naomi Watts wore to the event featured extensive beading. She looked good, but again I have to say that I think this is not Oscar worthy, and she could have done much better!  Sorry Naomi!

I was not a fan of the flapper style tiered metallic Oscar de la Renta frock that Jennifer Garner wore.
