Try the Floral Applique Trend...

I like trying out new trends (appropriate ones for my age group of course!), and one that I've been a fan of for a while is the floral applique trend.  Forget flat, one-dimensional prints.  Floral appliques take florals for summer to a whole new level.  This trend is all about the texture.  Whether we're talking gathered fabric bunches or real appliques stitched onto the garment, this 3-dimensional trend is big, bold, and perfect for the season.

Chanel is perhaps the design house best known for their floral appliques.  It's one of their signature looks.  However, many other designers joined Karl Lagerfeld in using appliques for the season, including Dries Van Noten and Chloe.

This trend is perfect to wear in a dress or blouse form.  It looks feminine and fun and some celebrities have  rocked this look recently, including the lovely Keira Knightly and Blake Lively (see below).
