The Collar Necklace...

I've always been a fan of accessories, whether it be jewelry, belts, scarves, purses or pins.  To me, the right accessories can make or break an outfit.  I love the way accessories can completely change the look of an outfit, like a simple set of pearls for a professional and elegant work look, to a great hair accessory or chunky necklace to add some pizzaz to an evening look.

It is important to remember not to over-accessorize however, as sometimes people have so much going on it doesn't work and looks as though they're trying too hard!  Today I want to concentrate on one of my favorite trends and accessories, and that's the collar necklace.  This is a statement piece and needs very little else to finish off a dramatic look.  I think this accessory is perfect for summer and looks fabulous with a very simple summer dress.  I like the collar necklace with colored stones like turquoise for added drama or the simple metal ones that have that Grecian look.
