My top 5 British Fashionistas...

With the focus this summer having been on England with the celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and now the Olympics, I thought that today I would name my picks for British fashion queen's....or as I like to call it, the British Fashion Invasion!!!

London has always been one of the hot spots for the latest fashion trends and now is no exception.  With a constant crop of British talent coming out of the country some of them have really proven themselves to be avant-garde in their fashion choices and trends.  So take a look at my pick of the 5 top Brits who have brought style and in some cases, some eccentricity to the fore!

My first pick is Victoria Beckham.  Love her or hate her, there is no denying that this former Spice Girl has evolved into a style icon!  I have loved watching her style evolve over the years from the somewhat tasteless and often crass to the chic and sophisticated look she sports today.  Her own fashion label is a huge success and the clothes are beautiful and regularly worn by well known celebs.

My second pick is the lovely Emma Watson.  I love that she has successfully transformed from child star to young lady with a great sense of style and fun.  She always looks great on the red carpet and dresses perfectly for her age, keeping her look young, fresh and flirty!

My third choice many of you may not agree with, but I love Helena Bonham-Carter!  I love her ecclectic style and her crazy Brit eccentricity, and let's face it, she always gets noticed on the red carpet!  Her style can verge on the ridiculous at times, but I love the fact that she has remained faithful to what she likes and doesn't care what anyone else thinks.  She tends to wear a lot of Vivienne Westwood, another great and somewhat controversial British designer.  No matter what you may think I believe Helena deserves to be on the British Invasion list!

My fourth pick is Twiggy!  She was famous in the 60s and I love the fashions from back then and especially how she inspired a whole generation.  Although she is older now (and still looks lovely I might add!), I thought she deserved to be on my list!

And lastly, but by no means least, my final pick for the Brit list is the lovely Kate Middleton.  The wife of Prince William and future Queen of England has brought the royal family back to life!  With her beautiful looks, happy disposition and great sense of style, it's now hip to be a fan of the Royals!  She has shown grace and her own sense of reserved yet classic style, and in my opinion she has rejuvenated the royal family!  Thank you Kate!
