Metallics are a great look. They have come and gone over the years, but have been consistent in their popularity. And the great thing about this look is that it can be as subtle or obvious as you like, with different types of hues and levels of shine! I love the gilded gold look - it can be in the form of a very simple shift dress with little or no accessories needed because the metallic is enough on its own to make you stand out. I love the subtle silver look too that many celebs have worn, and one of my favorite fashionista celebs who knows how to rock this look is the lovely Cate Blanchett. I am not a huge fan of colored metallics, but hey, if you think you can pull this off, go for it! For those of you a little wary of trying this out, just add an accessory like a hobo bag, sparkly bangles or a trendy pair of pumps, or even just a metallic eyeshadow. Whatever you choose, you'll be guaranteed to look great!!

You don't just have to have an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini anymore....polka dot fashions are everywhere ladies, and they look fabulous!! I love the spotted look, there's something fun and fresh about it, and whether you want to make it your whole look or just an accessory it doesn't matter because it will look great no matter what. I just wore a black & white spotted bow blouse yesterday when I had lunch with my girls, and I loved it! And don't be afraid to mix it up a bit, you can always mix spots and stripes, there are no rules as long as you look good!! So take a look at these rockin' looks and get spotted......

Want to add a little something extra to your look? Add a headband or a hair accessory! I love these and wear them all the time. Headbands come in so many colors, textures and widths you can really change it up constantly! Or if like me you are having a bad hair day and don't have time to fix it, disguise it by adding a wide headband and voila, you're good to go! Being British I am a huge fan of head pieces anyway, after all there's nothing quite like a fabulous fascinator at a wedding (think Kate & William's nuptials & all those amazing fascinators!). Whether you like the boho look or something a little more tradional, a headpiece will be sure to finish off your look nicely. Take a look at these and see what would work for you...
