Beachwear for your summer vacation!

Having to go swimwear shopping is never something I look forward to, but when you're in your 40s it's even more traumatic!  But almost as important to me, and what I'm going to concentrate on today, are the cover-ups.  I think a great beach cover-up is key to looking great when you hit the beach.

There are so many great cover-ups to choose from now, and many can be found at major department stores and good discount stores and don't have to cost much.  I've seen some great cover-ups at stores such as TJ Maxx & Target, where the cost is lower than other big-name stores.  I have a wide array of cover-ups, and I don't just wear them to the beach!  They can double up to be worn as tunics with leggings, so I can create a great outfit when I'm away so that I get multiple use from one item, as packing is important and I don't want to over-pack.  A cover-up worn as a tunic looks great with ballet flats during the day, or add a great pair of strappy heels for an evening look.

Cover-ups can be as simple or elaborate as you like, and in a wide array of colors and designs.  I have ones in simple black and white which is easy to wear with anything, as well as some in bright, vivid colors for something a little more vibrant.  Ones with embellishments such as beading or sequins are also fun to wear, and again, there are many to choose from to suit every taste.

If you're not keen on wearing a cover-up, try a sarong.  These are also great and can be worn in several different ways, to suit different styles and preferences.

Whatever you choose to wear this summer, you can't go wrong with a great cover-up to make you feel more confident and comfy while hitting the beach this season.

Take a look at some of these looks and get inspired for your vacation...
