Stripes....a hot look this season!

Stripes - some people love them, some people hate them!  I love them, and I am particularly loving the graphic extra-wide stripes that were seen on the runways from Marc Jacob's and Acne.  I know some of you are hesitant about wearing stripes, particularly the horizontal ones, but there's really no need to be afraid of this trend.  Again, it's all about how you put it together.  So pay attention and take a look at my pick of favorite stripes for the season!

Elongate your form...show off a more elongated shape with this high-waisted vertical stripe skirt.  Its form-fitting shape and extra-wide vertical stripes will do wonders for your form and style.  Wear this mid-length skirt with a blousy top and kitten heels for a sophisticated twist.

Effortlessly chic...go for casual chic in this ultra-soft T-shirt dress.  A dipped back hem and loose fit gives this effortless frock an even cooler take.  Pair with ankle boots and minimal jewelry to keep the casual vibe strong.

Fine knit upgrade...colorblock stripes lend a subtle dose of color to this fine-knit sweater.  Team with a pattern-clash bottom and pointed heels for a modern combination.

Bad girl pants...a must pick for every bad girl out there, these striped skinnies are coated to appear like leather.  Wear them with a solid gray T-shirt and black stacked heels to look super-cool!

Girly glam...Sequin polka dots punctuate the upper body of this railroad striped jersey dress.  Softly tailored, it provides a feminine shape that is quite irresistible.

The maxi cut...I've been obsessing over striped maxi dresses ever since Marc Jacobs showed his Spring 2013 collection, and now we can finally partake without spending a fortune.  Cue this striking striped frock from ASOS that is both on-trend and super-sexy thanks to the shoulder revealing cut-outs!

Contrast panels...these contrast panels contour the inseam of these railroad striped skinnies for a striking and bold finish.  The subtle gray stripes give these low-key pants a casual feel that works for both day and night.

The Nantucket blazer...you know how I love my blazers ((I've lost count of how many I have!), and this is no exception!  Subtle seafaring stripes gives this season's trendiest pattern a nautical appeal. This blazer is tailored for a trim fit.  It's a versatile piece you should have in your closet this season!

Premium shorts...these satin shorts get a sporty upgrade in horizontal stripes that is utterly eye catching.  Pair them with a solid sleeveless button down for everyday wear.
