Sheer Looks for All

Layer up your look with these game-changing peekaboo pieces.....

What do you imagine when you think of sheer?  While it describes the texture of tights and a sign of seductive lingerie, there are definitely other uses for it.  A sheer panel here, a mesh top there....all are stylish ways to integrate the look into your life.  It need not necessarily be revealing.  While you could show off some skin, you could also use the sheer look as a way to experiment with layering - just think of how a garment can change based on what you wear underneath, whether in the name of modesty or experimentation.

Do remember ladies that this trend needs to be thought out carefully for those of us in the 40+ age range.  While I do love this trend, I'm careful of how I wear it.  One of my favorite ways to wear this trend is with a sheer black hi-lo shirt that I have that I wear completely buttoned up over a black cami and leggings.  It's a simple yet stylish look and age-appropriate.

My favorite sheer pieces are both a study of in-your-face invisibility and clever placement. Whether you're looking to show a ton of skin or just a bit, sheer pieces have your back!  Check out some of my current favorites.

This top is the definition of uber-trendy, but I'm really feeling those embroidered symbols.

Symbols Rule

This shirt is completely sheer, which seems a bit extreme, until you remember this opens up a whole new world of cool layering possibilities.  This should not be worn this way for 40+ women!!
Top Heavy
This lovely Kenzo top has a really nice sheen to it and the peplum accent is done really well.

Adding interest to sheer pieces elevates a piece in our eyes, so I really like this great striped sheer button-down.  You can even change the look of the stripes as you swap different layering pieces underneath.

Go all the way with this great floor-skimming, long-sleeved maxi dress, because it's totally sheer.

Maximum Confidence
If the above dress is too far for you to go, try going almost all the way with this cool dress.  Being a little daring has never looked so effortless.  This is one of my personal favorites for spring.

Easy Sheer

And finally, these cool Rachel Comey/Hansel from Basel socks are so quirky, and they'd add a ton of interest to any outfit!  I can see them fitting nicely with a short tea dress.
