Pretty Frocks for Easter!

Even if you're not a girly girl the rest of the year, there's something about spring that makes you just want to look pretty in a perfectly feminine dress.  There's no better holiday than Easter to wear a candy-colored fit-and-flare dress.

Easter is this weekend so it's time to check out your closet and dig out that Easter frock, or better yet, you've still got just enough time to go to the shops and get something new and fun for the holiday. I love the colors and feminine looks of the spring frocks, whether they're floral prints, pleated, or layers of lace or chiffon.

The Wide Leg Trouser

It's back again ladies!  The wide leg trouser, culottes, palazzo pants, gaucho pants, or whatever else you want to call them, they're back in a big way this Spring!  Seen all over the runways, worn long, ankle length and in a variety of hues, this is the trend to be sure to try this season.

But how to wear it?  This trend looks chic when done right, but many people struggle to get this look just right.  So read on to find out how to get it right and look fab in this trend for Spring!

Proportion is key.  Wear these well above the ankle and high on the waist for a sweeping shape that doesn't overwhelm.  Forgo the frump by showing off your middle.  Tuck in a relaxed sweater, throw on a midriff-cinching blazer, or try an abs-baring cropped top (remember age appropriateness ladies!).

In refined cream or black, these can sub in for a dressy skirt.  Just add a silky slip top, decadent heels, and fabulous sparkly earrings and you're set for the evening!

How to wear Fringe this Spring...

Fringe is one of those trends that has never entirely been out of fashion, and people's fascination with rows of ribbons has never ended.  And fringe is undergoing a particularly strong resurgence right now.  Too many designers to name had fringe on their Spring and Fall runways, to it's safe to say it will remain at the top of the list for a bit longer!

In real life, though, fringe can be tricky to pull off.  Too much can look like a costume, and too thick can look a bit too western.  My advice - incorporate it into your wardrobe in the form of a pencil skirt that playfully reveals some skin from the knees down.  Fringe-accented tops and accessories are also easy to wear with simple pants.  If you're really unsure of how to wear this trend, keep it uber simple but still fab with an accessory like a great purse.  You'll still be on trend, but in a played down way.
