Turbans - one of the world's most renown head dress, dates back as far as the fourteenth century if you can believe that, and is worn by men & women the world over. There are many versions of the turban, but I am going to concentrate on the fashion turban today which has recently made yet another comeback. This trend has gone in and out of fashion over the years, being particularly popular from the 1960s through to the 1980s when this look was sported by many famous movie stars.
I have always been a huge fan of any head pieces, whether it be hair accessories, hats or fascinators, so it goes without saying that I am also a fan of this look. Apart from anything else, it's a great and glamorous solution when you're having a bad hair day, especially on the hot & humid days we've been having recently when you can't do anything with your hair!
This look can be very simple for the day, or more glam for the evening as shown here by Kate Moss and Karolina Kurkova below. Remember how Carrie wore one in the Sex & The City 2 movie? She looked fabulous (as always), and shows us how this look can be pulled off in a very simple but fashion-forward way.
Take a look at how you too can pull off this look...
